5 Clinically-Proven Ingredients To Level Up Your Skincare Routine

You want innovative, hard-working products filling your medicine cabinets and vanities, not snake oil mixed with empty promises.

You’ve been burned before by 'too-good-to-be-true' creams, expensive cure-alls, and products that only pay off after what feels like an eternity of continued use and countless repurchases.

But before you turn your back on skincare altogether, we’ve got news that may restore your trust in topical anti-aging formulas.

When put to the test in multiple clinical trials, these ingredients showed results that proved sometimes, good things really can be true. If the evidence weren’t right in front of me, I may not believe it myself, but check this out:

A topical alternative to injections, this anti-aging peptide delivers Botox-like effects by limiting facial muscle movement, effectively preventing and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

In this study, 22 volunteers between the ages of 35 and 55 with visible crow’s feet were separated into two groups. The first group was given a placebo cream and the second a SNAP-8 cream. Each group was then observed applying the cream twice a day for 28-days.

At the end of the trial, biometric evaluations showed the group using SNAP-8 saw smoother skin as a result, with lower wrinkle depths of up to 38% and decreases in roughness of up to 56%.

Pretty impressive results, huh?

This deeply nourishing moisturizer provides instant and long-lasting effects after just one application. This study reports an increase in hydration of up to 17% among participants 48 hours after applying. But that's not all. After 72 hours of observation, participants' skin was still retaining the added moisture, showing a 10% increase in hydration.

So if you suffer from dry, dull skin (like me), this could be the ingredient your skin's been missing!

Acting as an aesthetic filler, this unique form of hyaluronic acid (HA) actively smooths texture from fine lines and wrinkles by penetrating deep into the skin to plump and restore volume. It also effectively locks in moisture for instantly softer, more hydrated skin, while simultaneously protecting against pollution, free radicals, and UV damage. Oh - and it also helps prevent the collagen in your skin from breaking down.

Sounds too good to be true, right?

Wrong! In this study, researchers found that this all-natural ingredient influences a whole set of genes involved in targeting antioxidant defenses, antipollution, and anti-aging. Their tests showed a 42% decrease in collagen degradation and a 12% reduction in wrinkles after just 28 days.

Don't act surprised! If it hadn't been proven-effective, it wouldn't have made the list.

You've probably tried mushrooms on pizza, but how about in your skincare?

According to the findings discussed in this article, shiitake mushrooms provide a rich source of antioxidants that reduce inflammation, brighten complexion, and enhance cell regeneration for healthy collagen and elastin production.

This information has generated lots of love for the use of mushrooms in skincare, and not to mention a whole new meaning of the phrase, 'magic mushrooms.'

Before we dive into the research, let's address the elephant in the room:

How can placenta, an organ, be "luxe," you ask? Well, first, we're not talking about the organ kind of placenta. 'Luxe Placenta' refers to a synthetic blend of 5 anti-aging growth factors that lift, firm, hydrate, repair damage, increase skin elasticity and stimulate collagen production.

These growth factors exist naturally in organic placenta. However, by mimicking them in a lab using placental pharmacology, skincare chemists can produce an identical formula that doesn't cause harm or exploit animals in the process.

Not only is it an ethical choice, but it's also better for the consumer. The synthetic formula increases the stability and deliverability of the growth factors, enhancing overall product quality and performance for a luxurious result.

Now that we're on the same page, let's see what the research shows!

During this four-week trial, researchers observed 14 women between the ages of 43-50 topically apply a synthetic blend of growth factors twice a day. After the first two weeks, researchers reported a 10% reduction of wrinkles around the eye area, often referred to as 'crow's feet.' By the end of the four weeks, participants' crow's feet had diminished by up to 21%, skin elasticity improved by 47%, and skin moisture increased up to 64%.

These are exactly the kinds of results we deserve from our skincare - safe, stable, and proven effective. Don't settle for anything less.
